Lily~YMCA Basketball

Let's just say that this year is off to a much better start than Lily's first year of basketball!  She first played when she was 3, and it was ROUGH!  She cried the whole time and hated it.  We took the next year off, and now she is on a kindergarten team and she is having a great time!  She is the youngest on the team, but she is NOT the smallest.  She plays every Saturday for 8 weeks.  It is fun because she plays with a little boy named Lewis who is the son of one of our very best childhood

friends!

 

The team is mixed with boys and girls.  They start the game with a little practice learning fundamentals and doing drills.  Next, they play 4 quarters...8 minutes each.  She runs hard the entire game, puts her hands up on defense, is learning to dribble and she even shoots the ball this year!  HUGE IMPROVEMENT, but most importantly she is having FUN!
