One More Birthday Blog

It felt like Lily's birthday was NEVER ENDING this year!  Here are the pictures from her actual birthday.  Jason took the day off and we took the girls to the Amazing Pizza Machine for the afternoon.  It was nice to celebrate with just our family.  THREE celebrations is a bit much, but I guess this means she is very loved or very SPOILED?!

Lily's 4th Birthday Party

We celebrated Lily's 4th birthday princess style on Sunday September 16th.  She got lots of nice gifts including: Leap Pad 2, Leap Pad gel skin, Leap Pad carrying case, money, gift cards, Pop the Pig game, Disney Princess Bubble Carriage, Fashion Barbie, bathtub Rapunzel Barbie, boots, tennis shoes, husker skirt, sun glasses, Shrinkie Dinks, pants, clothes and a lot more!  This was a party for her friends and my family.  This was her second celebration...her first one was back on the farm with Jason's family.  We had cake, cookies, ice cream and fruit.  It was a beautiful day, so she enjoyed playing outside with her little buddies!  Thanks to all who came!

Lily's 4 Year Stats

Lily had her 4 year well visit on her birthday.  We had to find a new pediatrician because Dr. Russell no longer practices.  We were sad because the girls really liked her, but we are now out at Lakeside which is so much closer!  We now see Dr. Kelly Schidler, which is who Maddie and Presley go to.  She is super nice and I think we will like her!

Lily was all excited to go and she did great!  She answered all of Dr. Schidler's questions and was on her very best behavior.  I had told Lily that she was going to get some shots, and she was okay with that. Oh my gosh...talk about heartbreaking!  It was much harder for me to see Lily get shots than to see Avery get them.  She was still talking to the nurse and all smiles when we were holding her down, and then the screaming and tears came!  She got 3 shots and the Flu Mist.  She had no idea what was coming even with a warning.  It was the saddest thing ever.  I picked my giant 4 year old up and snuggled her and then she got some stickers and was all better :)

A Busy Little Saturday

I've had this post saved for two weeks now and I'm just now getting around to getting it done!  Because I have waited so long, I can't even remember what we did on this busy little Saturday!  I am going to try and recap the best I can...

Saturday September 8th...
To start the day I ran in the Peak2Peak 10 Mile race.  It started at the Peak Performance in Bellevue and ended at the Peak Performance on 78th and Cass.  It was run alongside the Keystone Trail so it was nice and flat...just how I like it!  A school bus took us from the ending location to the start so we didn't have to worry about getting back to our cars.  The best part of this run was seeing my family at the finish...always the best part about a race!  The girls were waving as I ran by and then when I got back to them Avery was crying...big huge tears...she thought her momma was running away from her!  I ran this in 1:26:52 which is an overall average pace of 8:41 per mile.

Next up...Presley Jane's 2nd birthday party!  We came home after the race and took quick naps and then got ready to celebrate this beautiful blue eyed baby girl's birthday at SkateDaze!  We celebrated Minnie Mouse style.  The girls had a blast!
Bubba and Justin eating some pizza.
Lily Rose eating some chocolate Minnie Mouse cake.
 Maddie and Lily
 Mommy and Lily
 Kylie and her girls
This child has NO FEAR...weeeeeee...and again and again and again!
Presley didn't so much like the Playdazium...look closely....her face says it all.:)
Ummmm....not so sure about this mom!
 CHHHHHEEEEESSSSSSEEEE!
Aves and Papa on the horsey
Bubba and Avery in the ball pit...she was throwing them just like he was!
Sisters...they play well and they fight well :)

Next up...
An evening at the park with Stephanie and Baby Ben!  (Stephanie is one of the girl's daycare providers and Baby Ben is Avery's best buddy at daycare) We were just getting up from naps after the birthday party and Stephanie sent me a text asking if we wanted to meet her and Ben at the park...she was babysitting Ben for the evening.  Avery and Ben are so cute together!  I couldn't pass this play date up!  They hug and kiss each other at daycare and if you ask Avery who her boyfriend is she says "Baby Ben!"  with a big huge smile...cutest thing ever!

And Finally...
We went to the Woockman's house to watch the Husker game and eat some pizza...too bad the Huskers lost!  Melissa runs her own in home daycare, so the girls had a blast playing with all of the toys.  Lily and Avery got to play with their buddies Brynn, Olivia, Mason and baby Carter.

Whew....what a day!
