This year for Halloween we had a princess and a monster, which is about right on how different these two little girlies are everyday!
Lily had her preschool Halloween party on Wednesday, October 30th. They didn't care last year if I brought Avery in her costume, so I did again this year. Avery was all about it at first, but once we got to the YMCA she took her costume off...whatever...I wasn't going to argue with her. The preschoolers Trick or Treated around the YMCA and then they had a little party back in their classroom. Jason came up to see Lily all dressed up, and she was excited to see him! The kiddos got all sorts of JUNK...cookies, cupcakes, rice krispie bars and candy galore...right before lunchtime. Avery played with the preschool toys which kept her entertained nicely. She even got a cookie!
On Halloween, I dressed the girls up in their costumes and took them to see my Grandma. My mom met us over there after Bible Study, and we all went to lunch. KIDS EAT FREE AT APPLEBEES...SCORE! My Grandma enjoyed seeing them dressed up. I was teasing my Grandma because she was the only house on her street that was all done up for Halloween, but she doesn't pass out candy or turn her light on?! She says she doesn't know who is going to come knocking at her door!
After a nap, the girls were refreshed and ready to go trick or treating with the neighbor boys! Sam and Anthony Franco live 2 houses up and they go to the same daycare as the girls, and Sam is in Lily's preschool class. We trick or treated in our neighborhood for a couple of hours, and then we headed over to my parents' house for some Chili. Avery was such a trooper! We brought the wagon with us, and Lily was the first one in it. Little Avers walked the whole time, and she would let anyone else lug her candy filled pumpkin around but her! That kid is all about the candy! Maddie and I took Lily back out for a little bit in my parents neighborhood. Both girls were worn out by the time we got back home!
