A New Beginning

I have decided to start this blog to keep everyone updated on our new bundle of joy...Lily Rose. Jason and I were blessed with a BEAUTIFUL baby GIRL on September 12th. After being induced on the 11th and 24 hours of labor, Lily finally decided to come into this world via C-section. I won't bore you all with the details of my labor because all that matters is the end result of our precious little girl. Lily Rose Kneifl was born at 6:42am. She weighed a whopping 9 pounds and 2.9 ounces and she measured 21 inches in length. It was over an hour before I woke up from the surgery, and I didn't even know what the sex of our baby was. The moment Jason came into the recovery room and told me I almost did not believe him...I was so sure we were having a boy. I would have cried tears of joy if I was not in so much pain...but that is what I felt...pure JOY to know that I now had a daughter. After a few more minutes Jason was able to bring Lily into the recovery room for me to hold her...words cannot express the feelings you feel when you get to hold your baby for the very first time. Lily is our new beginning in this life. She is absolutely perfect. Jason and I are so blessed to get to be her parents. It is hard to believe that our little girl will already be one month old on Friday. Time flies and I can already see how she is going to grow up fast!
