Little One Passes Swimming Lessons

Avery passed her first session of swimming lessons!  She has moved from a Pike to an Eel.  We didn't enroll her again right away.  I thought she'd get enough pool time during the summer and we will enroll her again in the fall.  We are proud of you Little One!

Lily's Preschool Graduation

On May 15th, Lily Rose, graduated from the Armbrust YMCA Preschool.  She has gone to preschool there for the past 2 years.  This was a milestone for both her and for Jason and I.  This is one step closer to August 14th...Lily's first day of Kindergarten.  I tear up whenever I think about it.  Just today, we drove by her new school and I got teary eyed.  I'm not ready to let my little girl go to such a big school all day everyday.  I know that she is ready and she's not scared, and that makes it a little easier.

Lily Lost a Tooth!

Lily lost her very first tooth back on June 4th!  It had been loose for over a month and it was finally ready to come out.  She was scared that it was going to hurt, but she lost it at daycare and it didn't even phase her.  She was so excited to tell mommy and daddy.  I had to work that night, so Daddy was in charge...Lily woke up with $5 under her pillow!  This is just another sign that my little girl is growing up...way to fast!

Omaha Storm Chasers Game...Nurse Appreciation Night

Back in May, the Omaha Storm Chaser's hosted Nurse Appreciation night.  Tickets were $3 off for nurses, and we had never been to Werner Park so we thought it would be a good time to take the girls.  I was surprised at how nice the stadium was...and very family/kid friendly.  There were some other nurses there that I work with, but most of our time was spent in the Kid Zone.

There are several bounce houses, slides, playground, etc. for kids.  It is out in the outfield.  It was a beautiful night, and I would have loved to sit and watch the game, but we walked right by the Kid Zone when we walked in, so that was all the girls wanted to do.  We sat through 2 full innings and spent the next hour or so in the Kid Zone before calling it a night.  Avery climbed to the top of one of the slides, and got scared.  She wouldn't come down.  Lily had already gone down, and there was a long line.  One kind mom let Lily go to the front to help her get her little sister down.  The little turd got to the top, said "Hi Avery!" and slid right back down!!!  I had to crawl up and get her.

EaStEr on the Farm

Accept my apology that this blog is so far behind....I have 17 entries to do to get caught back up!  Easter 2014 was a fun filled weekend spent out at the farm and in Sioux City, and the million pictures are all out of order, but I don't have the time to sort them all out.  I don't understand why they upload out of order when they are all in order in my pictures folder??

Jason took the girls up to Newcastle on Friday afternoon.  I had to work Friday night, so I drove up Saturday evening.  The girls had a good time with their daddy and Grandma and Grandpa Moran.  Daddy took Lily on her first 4 wheeler ride!  Mommy is a little anxiety ridden, so I'm glad I wasn't there to see it.  They went to the Fire Hall in Newcastle on Saturday afternoon to see the Easter Bunny and then they dyed Easter Eggs with Grandma Romaine.  Our tradition is to plant "magic jellybeans" the night before Easter with the girls.  We planted them and can you guess what grew overnight?!? SUCKERS!  The girls were so excited to wake up and pick them, and they were relieved that the cats didn't eat them!

Easter morning was a special morning as our niece, Jenna Kneifl, was baptized.  Jason is her Godfather.  Jenna is the daughter of Jason's brother Randy and sister in law, Jeanne.  The girls just love their baby cousin.  After the service, we packed up and drove to Jason's brother, Lonnie's house in Sioux City to have Easter lunch.  We ate, had a big Easter egg hunt for the kiddos and then we celebrated cousin, Miles, 5th birthday.

We drove back to Omaha and a made a quick stop and Ma and Pa Mike's (my parents), so the girls could get even more Easter candy!  They had Easter baskets waiting for them...they got new flip flops, candy and new princess jammies.

Good luck sorting through all of these pics!
