The New Year

A sick little Lily Rose

We rang in the New Year...well we really didn't ring in the New Year this year.  We had two sick baby girls who didn't feel well.  Lily had Croup and as of New Year's Eve Avery hadn't caught it yet so she got to go for a day trip with Daddy.  Jason took Avery to Seward with him to celebrate another family Christmas with his mom's side of the family.  They left around 11:30am and got home by 9:30 that same night.  Lily and I celebrated together and spent some mommy/Lily time.  She had started feeling better New Year's Eve morning so I treated my little girl to dinner...leaving the choice up to her of course.  Where did she choose?  Well, it is always usually Chili's, Applebee's, Taco Bell or Romeos.  This night she went with her mommy's heart and chose Chili's!  We enjoyed a nice dinner together.  It is nice to be able to spend one on one time with each of the girls once in a while.  After dinner I took her to ToysRUs and she picked out a new movie...Charlotte's Web.  We came home, put our jammies on and snuggled up on the couch to watch it.  We were both in bed before 10:00pm.  She was in bed before Jason and Avery got home.  When they got home we put jammies on Avery and we all went to bed.  We were too tired to stay up to ring in the New Year.  I think this may have jinxed us because the next day Avery woke up with a fever and a cough.  She didn't stay sick as long as Lily did and is now just left with some yucky sinus drainage.  Anway...we hope that everyone is blessed by the New Year!
