Summer Days

With school starting and summer coming to an end, I've been looking back at pics of what we did all summer long.  I think the girls had a pretty fun summer...and mom did too!
Fun with old neighbors at the Fremont Splash Station
 Backyard fun
Mom had a night out with college friends

 Daycare friends

Lily and GaGa at Village Pointe Concert Series
Evening fun at Zorinsky Water Park
 Friends Brynn and Olivia...pizza night
 Lily's first big waterslide!
 Donuts on the patio
 Lots of park time

 Backyard meals and swimming

 LOTS of ICE CREAM!

Baseball game with Kaylee and Taryn

 Pedicures with mommy

I'm sad to see summer go, but the next few months will bring us a 6 year old a 4 year old and a brand new baby boy!  We have a lot to look forward to, and a lot to be thankful for!

Kansas City Trip 2014

We try to get to KC each summer for a little family get away.  Jason took Friday off and we made a weekend trip out of it.  We got to KC around 3pm on Friday, and hung out at the hotel so the girls could swim.  We always stay at the Holiday Inn in the Plaza and they have big outdoor pool that the girls love!  We took a little rest after swimming and headed to Westport for some dinner.  We ate at Beer Kitchen.  I had first eaten here last year with some friends when I ran a Half Marathon in KC, and the food was phenomenal!  We had a long wait being a Friday night, but it was worth it.

Saturday was another day just relaxing and hanging out by the pool.  Lily and I walked down to the plaza and did some shopping while Avery and Jason stayed at the hotel.  They started out with us, but Avery fell on the way to the plaza and scraped up her legs pretty bad so Jason took her back.  My dad, sister, Brian, Maddie and Bubba had been in Topeka all week for Maddie's softball tournament.  They met Lily and I in the plaza and spent the rest of the day with us.  They had also gotten a room for Saturday night.

After shopping, we walked back to the hotel and swam all afternoon.  Saturday night we had dinner at Jack Stack BBQ in the plaza.  Again, it was a long wait, but the food was delicious!  We wasted time walking around the plaza...it was a beautiful night.

Sunday, we all went to World's of Fun!!!  Lily is 49 inches tall, so she was able to ride all of the rides this year.  She asked us if she could go on the Mamba, but we said not this year.  She did ride the Detonator, Fury of the Nile, Spinning Dragons, Viking Voyager and the Prowler.  Let's just say, she didn't like the Prowler, but she loved everything else.  Lily also spent time with Avery and Presley in Camp Snoopy.  Avery was able to ride the Viking Voyager with Mommy and Grandpa and I took her and Presley on the Ferris Wheel.  It was a hot, but fun day and I hope to go back next year!
