Class Halloween Parties

Lily and Avery had their class Halloween parties on the same day this year.  They were on October 30th because neither of them had school on Halloween...what a deal!  I was able to make it to both of the parties since Avery's was in the morning and Lily's was in the afternoon.

Avery's class sang a few songs and paraded around the YMCA and then they went back to their classroom and had some snacks.  Lily's class paraded through the gym and then went back to their rooms for a party.  They were both simple...I like simple...I can handle simple. :)

I thought it said "My pumpkin is RAD", but Lily says that it says ROUND...oops!

Lily's Kindergarten Field Trip to Vala's

Lily took her first Kindergarten field trip back on October 5th.  Jason took the day off and went with them.  He was in charge of Lily and another little girl...bless his heart!  They stayed longer than Avery's class did, and it was a cold and very windy day!  I don't think the weather phases little kids....they are always up for anything!

Of course, Lily liked riding on the school bus.  They even practiced earlier that week on how to get on and off of a bus.  She got to pack a lunch and have lunch at the patch with all of her friends...and her dad.  We usually make it out to Vala's a few times a year, but this year the girls just went with their schools.  The cost is getting kind of up there.

Avery's First Field Trip

So, way back on October 2nd, Avery took her very first field trip to Vala's Pumpkin Patch.  I think she was more excited to ride on the school bus more than anything else.  I had the night off, so I went along with them.  It was a cold and rainy day, but the kiddos did great!  We were only there for two hours, so the weather was tolerable.  We rode the train, went on a hayrack ride and picked a pumpkin.  She had a blast with her little buddies!  I can't believe she is old enough to be going on school field trips!
