EaStEr on the Farm

Accept my apology that this blog is so far behind....I have 17 entries to do to get caught back up!  Easter 2014 was a fun filled weekend spent out at the farm and in Sioux City, and the million pictures are all out of order, but I don't have the time to sort them all out.  I don't understand why they upload out of order when they are all in order in my pictures folder??

Jason took the girls up to Newcastle on Friday afternoon.  I had to work Friday night, so I drove up Saturday evening.  The girls had a good time with their daddy and Grandma and Grandpa Moran.  Daddy took Lily on her first 4 wheeler ride!  Mommy is a little anxiety ridden, so I'm glad I wasn't there to see it.  They went to the Fire Hall in Newcastle on Saturday afternoon to see the Easter Bunny and then they dyed Easter Eggs with Grandma Romaine.  Our tradition is to plant "magic jellybeans" the night before Easter with the girls.  We planted them and can you guess what grew overnight?!? SUCKERS!  The girls were so excited to wake up and pick them, and they were relieved that the cats didn't eat them!

Easter morning was a special morning as our niece, Jenna Kneifl, was baptized.  Jason is her Godfather.  Jenna is the daughter of Jason's brother Randy and sister in law, Jeanne.  The girls just love their baby cousin.  After the service, we packed up and drove to Jason's brother, Lonnie's house in Sioux City to have Easter lunch.  We ate, had a big Easter egg hunt for the kiddos and then we celebrated cousin, Miles, 5th birthday.

We drove back to Omaha and a made a quick stop and Ma and Pa Mike's (my parents), so the girls could get even more Easter candy!  They had Easter baskets waiting for them...they got new flip flops, candy and new princess jammies.

Good luck sorting through all of these pics!

Muffins With Mommy

Today, at Lily's preschool, was Muffins with Mommy in celebration of Mother's Day.  Lily and dropped Avery off at daycare and then we shared a Starbucks (Lily gets the kids hot chocolate) together on the way to preschool.  We ate donuts and muffins and had milk and water with all of the preschool kiddos and their moms.

All of the kids made their mom's a story..."A Story About My Mom."  Lily's read:

My mom is 43 years old.  She weighs 60 pounds and is 6 feet tall.  Her hair is brown and her eyes are aqua.  The favorite thing my mom likes to do is snuggle with me.  She likes to wear workout clothes.  Mommy always tells me she loves me.

It is fun to read what comes straight from her mouth and from her heart...she got about half of it right!
