Avery's 2nd Birthday Party

As you know, our little Avery Grace turned 2 years old on October 17th.  We had her birthday party at Pizza Gourmet on Friday the 19th and we celebrated Minnie Mouse style!  She picked the theme, which oddly enough was the same theme her sister had when she was 2!  Two peas in a pod???  I think not, but a funny coincidence!  Jason and I are so very blessed that our daughters have so many people that care about them and this was evidenced by the amazing turnout at her party.  Thank you so much to everyone who came and helped make our little girl's day even more special!

The above pictures are from her actual birthday.  Jason took the day off to spend with her. Being a second child and the second girl, we had no idea what to get her.  Between Avery and Lily the two of them have pretty much everything!  She is our little animal lover, so we decided to get her Go Go My Walking Puppy.  It barks and moves just like a real dog.  It has a leash and Avery can push buttons to make it move...pretty cute!  You might have already guessed that it is already in the basement with all of their other toys!

Sorry for the photo binge, but they are for the girls and they have to have em all to see when they are older!  I hope to get thank you's out this week yet...

Dear Avery

Dear Avery Grace,
You are definitely the second child as evidenced by your birthday letter being nearly 2 weeks late!  Mommy is really sorry about this one.  I love you no less...I promise you that!  I don't know what I would do without you in my life.  I remember the day you were born so very vividly.  My water broke on the way out to my car after a very long night shift.  I was so excited!  You were born on a Sunday night just after 9pm.  I remember Daddy holding you up and showing you to me in the operating room saying "We have another BEAUTIFUL baby girl!"  I couldn't believe that I had now been doubly blessed with healthy and beautiful little girls!  God is good.  You and mommy spent countless hours awake and strolling the halls of the hospital together because daddy had to stay at home with big sister Lily.  Lily was so excited that she now had a baby sister.  You were like a real live baby doll to her!
What I love most about you little Avery is that you are so naughty and so ornery, but so sweet and so cuddly at the same time.  You love to cuddle and snuggle and you give the best kisses and hugs!  You still let mommy rock you to sleep at night and this is the best part of mommy's day.  When you are good and tired, I ask you if you are ready to lay down on Mr. Moose (your pillow pet) and you look up at mommy with your barely opened big brown eyes and shake your head "yes."  I love you more than you could ever imagine little one.  Thank you for being mine.

Madison's Freshman Homecoming

My niece, Maddie, attended her freshman year homecoming at Millard West on September 29th.  She was beautiful all dolled up in her dress.  I remember the day she was born just as if it were yesterday.  She turned 15 years old in September and she is turning into a stunning young lady!

Vala's Pumpkin Patch Round 1

Two Fridays ago, September 28th, the girls and I met some friends for a fun filled day at Vala's Pumpkin Patch.  Yes, I am THAT far behind on the blog!  We met Talan, Cy, Jax and their mom, Lindsay, Ethan, Ellie and their parents, Andrea and Derrin and Lauren, Evan and their mom Alecia.  That was a really long sentence with lots of names and I know it is not grammatically correct, but I'm okay with that! :)
We got the pumpkin patch at 9:30 that morning and stayed all day until 3:30pm.  The kiddos got to experience almost the entire thing which is pretty amazing in itself because that place is HUGE!  They got to pet the goats and bunnies, jump on the bouncing pillows, play in the corn box, watch the piggy races, go on the hay rack ride, see the pumpkin chucker, go in a haunted house, see the storybook barn, and lots more!  We only had one scare all day and that was when little miss Ellie Anderson went missing for about 15 minutes!  Her mommy and daddy stayed pretty calm and we all went separate ways to search for her while Alecia stayed with the rest of the kiddos and took them to watch the piggy races (brave soul).  Ellie's daddy found her playing in the school house...completely unphased or scared. :)
Lauren was celebrating her 4th birthday at the patch...how lucky for all of us to get to celebrate with her!  Lily said to me just yesterday..."Mom, I have a friend named Lauren."  I said, "at daycare?" Lily said, "No, the yellow haired Lauren who had a birthday at the pumpkin patch."  So funny and so cute!
I titled this round 1 because we have a few more trips planned this month!  I love this place!
